Highlights
The Conference Board's help-wanted index for February didn't add to January's big jump, holding steady at a solid enough 41. The Conference Board's reading won't have an effect on expectations for tomorrow's jobs report, but last month's sharp gain for January, which rose to 41 from 38 in December, which for this index is a big, big jump, did precede what turned out to be a sharp gain in payrolls for February.
