ICSC-UBS Store Sales
Definition
This weekly measure of comparable store sales at major retail chains, published by the International Council of Shopping Centers, is related to the general merchandise portion of retail sales. It accounts for roughly 10 percent of total retail sales.  Why Investors Care

Highlights
Retail sales bounced up in the Oct. 29 week according to ICSC-UBS's tally of chain stores, which rose 0.4% week-on-week and jumped 8 tenths year-on-year to 4.4%. The report said cool weather, Halloween and lower gas prices helped sales. Next up is Redbook followed on Thursday by chain-store reports.
