Level46.0 45.5

Highlights
After peaking at 46.7 in mid-December, the weekly consumer comfort index has been easing though is still solid, at 45.5 for the January 1 week. Strength in consumer confidence doesn't always equate to immediate gains for consumer spending but it does point to greater confidence in the jobs outlook.
